About Shiva eye: Shiva eye (also called Shiva shell or Pacific cat's eye) is not a mineral gemstone. It is the protective operculum — the 'door' at the opening of a turban snail's shell — made of calcium carbonate, its spiral pattern resembling an eye. It takes its name from the third eye of the Hindu god Shiva.

Care: Like pearl, Shiva eye is calcium carbonate, so keep it away from perfume, acids and chemicals. Sterling silver naturally tarnishes over time — store your piece in the bag provided and polish gently with a silver cloth.
